Lycoming O-540 260 HP engine (32 of 154)

OK, now that I am happy with the position of the engine it is time to get it welded in place. First I measured the distance from the lower engine mount to the lower right corner of the dynafocal ring. Then I calculated the angles needed for both ends of the rod and cut the rod to fit. I had very little grinding to do to make this fit perfectly. Then I welded this rod in place. Next, I checked the position of the engine again to make sure that everything was still exactly where they should be. Then repeat for the upper right engine mount rod.
