Lycoming O-540 260 HP engine (53 of 154)




Removed the magneto coupling from the right mag and installed it on the timing-housing for my electronic ignition system.  I then set the engine to TDC, removed the gear retainer assembly and re-inserted the assembly so that the timing housing will clear the mounting bolts.  Then I installed the timing-housing to the right mag location.  I need to find slick magneto clips to finish installing the timing housing, for now it is just held in place with a washer and nut on the stud, this will hold for now but I would not want to run the engine this way.
